Mr. Lawrence Anthony, Founder of the Earth Organization is a well-known conservationist, explorer, and author, probably best known for his work in salvaging the animals in the Bagdad zoo during the coalition invasion of Baghdad in 2003, for which he was honored with the United Nations Earth Day medal and Earth Trustee award. Lawrences area of particular interest is the rehabilitation of traumatized African Elephant. Yvette Taylor trained and qualified as a Town and Regional Planner after leaving school and worked for both the municipal and private sector for several years within her field .Yvette then spent a year training in the USA acquiring skills and knowledge of sales, marketing and administration. She returned to South Africa and worked in personnel training for 8 years at a Supervisor and later an Executive Director level. During this time she studied additional courses, including Management Training and worked on several projects aimed at the Youth; including anti-drugs campaigns and Human Rights education. Before joining The Earth Organization, Yvette worked in the private sector, dealing with local and international companies regarding the distribution and exportation of products. She has gained many years experience as an Executive Director in the business development industry, working in all areas of operation to expand business. Yvette joined The Earth Organization several years ago following her passion for the conservation of our environment and our natural resources and believes that working together we can make a difference.
Dylan Anthony was born and raised in Durban, South Africa. After leaving school he spent two years studying consultancy and administration. He later went on to manage the emerging Thula Thula Game Reserve and was responsible for the fencing and creation on the reserve infrastructure.Dylan has experience in the management of game reserves in Southern Africa. He has intimate knowledge with wildlife and reserve management. This includes such activities as game capture, reserve management, weapons safety and security, reserve fencing and electrification, as well as detailed knowledge of African fauna and flora.Dylan has since worked in multiple private sector initiatives and, along with his brother Jason Anthony, was instrumental in the creation and international expansion of The Earth Organization.
Jason has over a decades experience in business ownership, management and consulting. He spent nine years in the United States of America, initially working in sales and sales management before moving into management consulting, where he provided training and expertise to increase sales, production and administrative efficiency as well as providing training in leadership skills. Jason played a vital role in the establishment of The Earth Organization, co-ordinating international fundraising in New York, Los Angeles, London and Johannesburg. He also travelled with Lawrence Anthony to the DRC on several occasions to discuss the conservation of the endangered Northern White Rhino with various parties including; members of MONUC, Congolese government officials and Game Reserve authorities. Jason Anthony is currently the co-owner and Managing Director of Efficient Microbes, based in Durban, South Africa.
David Bozas was born and raised in the heart of Zululand, KwaZulu Natal. After leaving school, he trained at the Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre in Mpumalanga and then returned to Zululand and worked with Lawrence Anthony in establishing Thula Thula Private Game Reserve. He later spent several months in the jungles of Borneo observing the Orang-utans. He has an in-depth understanding of wildlife and experience in reserve management, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the African bush and the traditional Zulu culture.David served in the British Armed forces for six and a half years, where he was commissioned as an Officer. He trained in the UK and USA and completed tours in Afghanistan (active frontline duty), Israel and Cyprus.After leaving the Army he joined Bridgehouse Capital in the UK, where he spent the next 2 years as a Project Manager, gaining valuable experience in the business world. He has recently returned from the UK and has taken up the position of Development Manager for the Camperdown Game Reserve project and the Royal Zulu Biosphere. David has a passion for our natural heritage and a vision of restoring the local community to their historical role as wildlife curators through their active and meaningful involvement in nature conservation.
The Earth Organization is an independent, non-profit group which seeks to reverse the dwindling spiral of the plant and animal kingdoms and our environment through education and action.
